ARTEAM - Professional Artistic School of Alto Minho With 31 years of activity promoting the offer of level II and level IV professional courses in the artistic area

ARTEAM is a member of the network of five professional music schools in Portugal that offer this type of programme, and stands out for its successful results. With a school population of approximately 155 students, 56 teachers and 11 staff members, the Escola Profissional Artística de Alto Minho has been achieving high rates of graduation from secondary courses and of students going on to higher education. Its more than 400 graduates, mostly from the various municipalities of Alto and Baixo Minho, but also from Galicia and other regions of the country and the islands, have excellent employability rates. We would highlight the prestigious place they occupy as instrumentalists in renowned national and foreign orchestras, their teaching activities in specialised art schools, as well as other emerging professions in various areas of music production and dissemination, the impact of which is already visible in the increase in the cultural offer that has been structured in this territory for some years now.

Of the performance projects in operation, with the aim of retaining the loyalty of children, young people and adults to various musical genres and adding value to the consumption of live concerts, we should mention the activity of the ARTEAM Symphony Orchestra, Wind Orchestra, Jazz Orchestra and the various chamber music groups, which put on dozens of concerts and musical events for the community every year. Of particular note are the "Concerts for the Family" and "Didactic Concerts" cycles for school audiences, organised in conjunction with the district's local authorities and school groups.
